Taking care of your piece

All of our pieces are created with natural stones.
As it's a natural material it 'lives on' and there's a couple of things to know.

  • Breakage: As each of our pieces is handmade we offer a 3 month workshop warranty on every stone setting. Should your stone break from it's ring within the first 3 months of use we consider this to be a manufacturing failure and will repair or replace it free of cost. Should the stone break from it's ring after 3 months we don't consider this a manufacturing failure but improper use.
  • Surface finish of your stone: All of our stone have been 'sealed' with natural oils before leaving our workshop. Their looks can slowly change over time as they get in contact with sunlight or your skin. Should you feel like the finish is getting a bit dull you can rub it with a soft damp cloth to take away any dirt or dust.
  • Bathing, showering or dishwashing: We don't advise bathing or showering with your piece as the stone can soak up water. The repeated material expansion from a dry to a wet stone can interfere with our adhesive in the long run. However, there is no need to worry should it get wet by accident. Chlorine, salty water or a skin with high PH levels will have a harsher effect on your jewelry over time and will affect gold plated jewelry faster then silver 925.
  • Sports: Sweat will have an effect on gold plated jewelry over time. Silver is a safer choice when you have an active lifestyle. But we kindly advise not to wear any jewelry while doing sport for your own safety.
  • Storage: Store your jewelry in a safe, dry place when it’s not being worn. Something like our packaging does a great job!
  • Cleaning your piece: A soft cloth or a jewelry polishing cloth will do the job. Try to stay away from any chemicals. Try to avoid harsh chemicals that can be found in everyday products such as lotion, perfume, or hairspray and household items like bleach.
  • 'As a rule of thumb we recommend your jewelry is the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off when you're done for the day.'
